Places I've been

Born in Toledo Ohio (Hometown), Grew up in the Temperance/Lambertville area of southern Michigan. Joined the USAF and went to Texas, Virginia, Philippines, Viet Nam and New Jersey thanks to them. Moved back to Toledo and subsequently down to Marietta, Georgia. In 1981, I moved back to Michigan and then wandered west until I landed in the central valley of California. Spent a few years in Los Angeles and then moved BACK to the central valley where I've lived ever since.

63 years young, I'm living in central California with my soul mate. (I had to think for a minute if I could be funny and use "sole" in place of soul, but that wouldn't be right as I had a mate before finding this one.)

I actually had MY priorities straight when I was a yound teen. Wish I'd been able to stick to them! As it happened, the pressures of convention swayed me to where I jumped thru the requisite hoops to appease those who had expectations of me. I'm not saying it was a bad thing - just that I could've cut to the chase had I not saddled myself with distractions along the way.

I've got 3 good offspring, 2 of which have a pair of kids of their own (Grandkids, that is.) These were spawned with wife #1. Wife #2 has no kids by me or anyone else and we're happy like that. We have 5 pet birds that are OUR kids and we love them dearly.

In summation, my life went like this: I went from innocent country kid, to high school dropout, to Viet Nam vet, to young dad and family man, to remarried and revitalized technical worker, to the lazy, loving lout I am today.
