I am an established professor and a struggling author. "Struggling," because I'm making the transition from academic writing to writing for a general audience. I'm also the mother of two wonderful children and the wife of an amazing, talented man. I love the desert and the sea. I loath the suburbs, and I go barefoot more than I should.
