Aleflores' profile

I am a painter and a writer, divorced and living in Mexico. My mother is an American, my father is Mexican. My husband is a political writer and a journalist. I have 4 children. I have a BA in Communications and a MA in Literature. Over the years, I have done a a little bit of journalism, PR and teaching, but 10 years ago I made some changes and started drawing and painting full time. I like to paint with oils and watercolors, drawing with charcoal and pencil, always from life. I paint and draw portraits, still lifes and landscapes. This new activity has brought a lot of happy moments into my life, and good friends from many places in the world. In the past, I wrote for a newspaper or for PR clients. Now, I write for myself, but I do better in Spanish than in English. I live in Monterrey, Mexico, but we have a second home in San Antonio Texas. We are happy to live and work in Mexico. We often travel to the US to visit dear friends and relatives from my mother's side of the family.
