I am a second/third generation Mexican-American. When I was 4 my mother married an AF man and we soon went to Germany; 1956 found us in Riverside, CA. San Angelo, TX and Goodfellow AFB was next until 1959, a brief time in Colorado, while he retrained then my Jr-Hi was at Whiteman AFB/Knob Noster, MO. K.I.Sawyer/Gwinn, MI is where I went to high school. 1 1/2 yrs of college at Northern MI at Marquette, as an art major. Then I got married, had a son in '69, left my marrige on a long and winding road to CA and Hippiedom: Santa Cruz! Went to Topeka, KS for a time Returned to TX and the town of my birth the year I turned 21. After several years living back in SA I joined the AF myself. Basic at Lackland, I trained to be a dental assistant at Sheppard, TX. Went to my first base at Plattsburgh, NY. Got married again, we were transfered to RAF Bentwaters, Suffolk, England. There my second son was born. 3 years later I went to Seymour Johnson, NC. Did not like it there so put in for T.I. duty at Lackland, Got divorced again about the time my three years duty was up, I was sent all the way across base to WHMC. In '86 I went to Ramstein, Ge for 5 years. Randolph AFB, TX was my last assignment. When I retired, I returned to school and waitressing work for a while!.

I was an Air Force Brat from the age of four, living in many places until I went to college. After kicking around a while and picking up extra baggage (my oldest son) and moving to the coast and back, I joined the Air Force. I retired from service in '93 and went back to finish school. Got a BA in anthropology and am intrested in Archaeology.
In the 80's I was a member of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) in Bjornsburg. I was an uppity Saxon thrall.

Star Wars - the ones from the late 70's. They had everything - adventure, romance, light comedy and the FX weren't overwhelming. Lady Hawk, Lethal Weapon, anything by Jim Henson (R.I.P.), Spielburg, etc., Monty Python, Anything B&W on TCM, Soylent Green To Kill A Mockingbird, African Queen, Lion In Winter (Kate is wonderful in any movie!) Al Hitchcock's films, esp 'The Trouble With Harry'...
