Places I've been

I have lived many places in my life. From the hills of Appalacia to the San Francisco Bay area. I spent 24 years in the Air Force and most of those years were in the Far East. I travel once a year to China, Okinawa and the Philppines, sometimes one country sometimes all three to train and to visit with old friends.

I have been a Karate ka since 1964, and have practiced various ryu's, mainly Tang Soo Do, Go-Ju Ryu and Shotokan, but have dabbled in other systems also,, such as Shorin Ryu.  I started my Tai Ji Quan training in the mid 90's in the San Francisco Bay area.  I now live in Florida, and teach Yang Tai Ji Quan, but still train with my teacher Vanessa Wu of Sarasota, Florida.   My Teacher in China is Minde Zhou Sifu of the Chen Wu Federation of Shanghai.

Activities

Martial arts, Tai Ji Quan (Yang), Karate , Go-Ju Ryu and Ngo Cho Kun (5 Ancestors Quan) Painting (water color) Ink Brushing (Shodo) and motorycycles.

Favorite Music

Love most music, From Brahm's to Willie, , Jazz to Rock, , Swing to Hillbilly, , , pretty much all in between depending on my mood, , love to practice listening to Chinese music made for the forms, , and love Japanese Classical.. Love the fun and playful songs of Okinawa and try to duplicate them by playing the Samisen, , (but play poorly)

Favorite TV Shows

PBS, any documentaries, discovery channel, etc..like the good stuff , hate the run of the mill stuff they shove down our throats..

Favorite Movies

Good old movies, , some new ones. Casablanca, Third Man, We Were Soldiers, Seven Samurai, The Last Samurai, , so many good movies.
