Well...let's see...I'm the "new forty" at 60 years young. I live in Henderson, NV about 20miles outside of Las Vegas. I work full-time in the medical field.  I like the "lighter" side of life like fun movies, penny slots that actually let me win something, and the "oldies" music on the radio. I have a deep, endearing faith in God and believe everything I am and everything that happens to me is guided by Him.  I have two grown children whom I love and stay very close to.  Though I don't have a lot of time right now...I like to travel and would like to do more traveling once I can retire. I love my country and would like to see more of it.  I'm leary of the on-line "dating" offers.  I would like to meet some really good people, from all over our country, for emailing and chatting.  I'm happy single.  I'm not really looking for "hot and heavy" anything!  LOL!  So, if you're inclined, drop me a note.  I'm just learning about blogs so I don't have one at this time.  Anyone got any tips?  Thanks for reading. Favorite Music

Music from the 50s and 60s, Big Band (which ties into 40s and 50s I suppose), easy listening anything, soft spiritual music, some blue grass and some country.

Favorite Charities

American Cancer Society, Disabled Veterans of America, American Red Cross and my local church.

Favorite TV Shows

I'm an avid fan of the British sitcoms on PBS. I watch them over and over. Friends, I like "Shark" with James Woods, "CSI" filmed partly in Las Vegas, Dr. Phil, On the Record, Bill O'Reilly, most of the oldies but goldies:Happy Days, I Love Lucy, Leave it to Beaver etc. etc.

Favorite Movies

The King and I, South Pacific, Oklahoma, The Wedding Singer, When Harry Met Sally, You've Got Mail, Sleepless in Seattle, anything Bette Davis, anything Doris Day, Steele Magnolias, Beaches and on and on and on.

Favorite Books

Mystery...edge-of-your seat. Anything Fannie Flagg writes, autobiographies of famous people. In the Bible my favorite books are Romans, Corinthians, Psalms, Matthew...most of the New Testament.

Favorite Quotes

Favorite People

My Mom who is a veteran of WWII, a breast cancer survivor (24 years), and a woman who taught me how to get up, brush myself off and start all over again. My Dad (now deceased) who spent WWII in a Japanese prison camp, survived and managed to forgive the Japanese for it. My grown up kids are favorite people of mine.

Favorite Places

Disneyland...not so much for the attractions but for the atmosphere, the people and the happy feeling I get when I'm there. I love the Oregon Coast and the beaches in San Diego, CA. Standing among the evergreens in Oregon or Washington where there is absolute peace and quiet. Seattle is a beautiful city to visit. Portland, Oregon...downtown...the lightrail that takes you almost anywhere you want to go in Portland and the surrounding areas, the Saturday Market, the old but beautifully preserved buildings. Any rose garden...anywhere.

Favorite Animals

Toby our cat and Jake our dog. I like "no frills" kind of pets...no "papers"...not for show...just for fun and companionship.
