Places I've been

I have visited several places such as Florida, Georgia, Virginia, Washington DC, Maryland, and traveled through several states getting to where I was going. I have lived in Albany, Georgia for 6 months, Orange, California for 2 years and Corona, California for 12 years, Alabaster, Alabama for 10 years and now which I think will be my last home is a small rural town of Lebanon, Missouri. I have found my retreat home on 26 acres of rolling pasture land. It is what I call God's Country.

Being blind, I do not let it stop me.  My white cane, touch of my fingers are how I see.  I no longer have outside distractions that sighted people experience.  When you are sighted, you can get your feelings hurt because someone does not say hi to you or you think that they give you a bad look.  These distractions can put you in a bad mood and change your personality.  Being blind has its advantages because of this. 

I do a home buisiness on my computer that makes me feel normal and active person.  I love meeting new people and sharing with them.  I use zoom text that enlarges my fonts 8 times.  If my eyes get to tired to read, it will read to me.

I am excited about meeting other seniors that feel like their life is worth sharing or if you want a life worth sharing.  I am now writing articles and the site is in my profiile.  Check it out.
