Places I've been

Iwas born in Brunswick, Me from 6 to 37 I lived in Gorham, ME in the family home with my younger sister and my son, who I had when I was 17. At 37 I left ME with my future husband and we traveled to Virginia then to Illinois where he took a job drving long haul semi. We stayed mostly east coast with that company. Then we went to NC and lived there for a while and my BF worked for a local trucking company. We went back on the road BF having gotten job with large Bakersfield, CA company where we drove long haul semi everywhere in the 48 states plus Canada and Mexico. Came off the road after 2 years and returned to NC for short while then moved to VA where we have been since 1994. (I am a detail person can you tell?)

More about me

  I am 55 years old, soon to be 56, too soon! I live in Southeastern Virginia with my my hubby of 12 years but we've been together for 18 years and known each other for 50 years! And of course our 18lb cat Rufus!!

I am the mother of one son, 38 married and 5 yr old daughter, and two step-sons. 1 married with 4 kids, 3 girls and 1 boy. The other is living with GF and has 1 son. So I am a grandmother to six. Although I don't see the last 5 very often because they live in Maine. I do see my son who lives here in Virginia about 45 minutes from us.

I am in ok health. I had a 3 way bypass in 2004 and I've had a few other operations. I do live with clinical depression which is treated by therapy and medication. I say that now because every so often my meds stop working efficiently and I tend to withdraw from the world until I'm back on a more even keel but right now I am doing fine!

My hubby is a full time truck driver for a local waste company (Thank God!) and I am a full time homemaker.

I watch a lot of action/adventure/thriller because that's what hubby likes. I like Jason Statham/Transporter, James Bond and for old faves: Steel Magnolias, The Color Purple
