I've been on two cruises - Medditeranean and Baltic. I've been to Las Vegas, NY, California, San Fran, Colorado. Been to Paris, Rome, Crete, Spain, many places in UK, and of course all over Europe.

Hi.  I'm known as Gill (Jill).   Grosvenor & I have been married for 37 years and now have been living here in Turkey for 1 year.  Originally from Ireland, we used to run a bakery for 11 years but retired from that almost 12 years ago.  After that I became a Secretary in an Accountant's Office from which I retired last year.

We both love living in Turkey and go back to Ireland about twice a year.  We have 2 daughters and 1 son and now have 3 beautiful little granddaughters, one of whom lives in Newcastle, UK.   Our other 2 live in Dublin, Ireland.

Activities

We both love travel and have done a lot in our day. I also like to read. Would love to go for lots of walks, but, as I have a very bad back, cannot persue that activity. Love meeting my friend here at Starbucks for a coffee! Played tennis in my young days.

Favorite Charities

Anything to do with children or animals. Hope to get involved with an animal charity over here in Turkey as there are a lot of street animals. Also Cancer charities.

Favorite Music

My husband introduced me to classical music & in particular Mario Lanza way back in 1969. Back then I was only a fan of Elvis and the Beatles! I now love classical but also like some pop. Also any kind of easy listening! Still like the 60's stuff though.

Favorite TV Shows

Used to be a fan of Soaps but, living now in Turkey, don't get a chance to watch any. Out here tho we look at Crime & Investigation, also watch a lot of movies on TV. Can't stand things like 'Big Brother' !!

Favorite Movies

Polyanna is probably my all time favourite. There are too many to mention but I would prefer old movies usually to modern day ones.

I'm a succor for romantics I'm afraid, nothing too serious but I DO like autobiographies & have read many

Hubby, our three children and our three grandchildren. Also have some brilliant friends. Admire Nelson Mandela very much.

Favorite Places

Las Vegas, Capri, Crete, Prague, Tallin & of course LOVE Turkey. Haven't been to the southern part of Turkey but am very much looking forward to that.

Favorite Animals

Adore cats, especially my very special Minnie that I had to leave back in Dublin with my daughter, Diane for safe keeping. I love dogs too! Now have a couple of special cats over here in Turkey too.
