More about me
I'm a boomer that changed my life plan at age 50. My husband is a Product Distribution engineer-also  known as Over the Road Truck Driver. I have been going with him for 3 years now. This has been the most exciting time of my life (and I worked in a prison for 8 years). I love traveling all over the United States and always amazed how breathtakingly beautiful America is.  I do paper work and directions for hubby and basically do everything but drive the truck. Everyday is a new adventure, we may be in an ice storm in Wyoming, a white out snow blizzard in Colorado going down a two lane road and can't see the edge of the road that drops straight down, tornado in Colorado, 102 degrees in New Mexico pulling 45,000 pounds straight up the mountains and 45,000 pounds pushing us straight down the mountain. Took truck load of appliances to Louisiana after Katrina. Down time sitting on Miami Beach, Florida, just lovin life.

    Hi,
I just read your profile. My husband and I drove over the road for 5 years with a straight truck with a built in bunk sleeper.
We love the job, called it a 'paid vacation'. Like you we enjoyed the different people across America, souther food is the BEST. Climate change is just as you say it is. Drive into , thru, and out the other side of a storm. Snow one day.Rain + humid the next. We missed Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Maine. I have 6 shoe boxes of photos and post cards from all the states we were in. I hear where you are coming from. I did maps and routes, too.
Just don't drive any faster than your Guardian Angel can fly. Sincerely, Yellowbird
