I grew up all around the country and overseas. My father was a military serviceman so I traveled quite a bit as a child. We settled in Arizona when I was 15 and although I traveled to different locations as a military wife, I always came back to Arizona.

I am a writer. I  like some people, sanity, dogs and most of all, life. I am an introverted extrovert or vice-versa which means I never know when I want to be alone and when I want to be in a crowd.I can't stand whiners, people who give up on life, people who think it is for others to make them happy.  I like people who realize that even behind the darkest clouds the sun is shining. Suffer, reflect, learn and then move on to the next step.I believe that all people are beautiful in their own right. Some are blessed with physical beauty, some with inner beauty and some with both. I believe that those who possess these qualities should wear them with pride, not be inhibited or intimidated by haters.  Walk tall and proudly but do not float over others, nor slither on the ground beneath them, but walk with them.  In short, be  who you are no matter who else  can't deal with it.

 I have three grown children and I'm glad that they are now on their own. . I can finally give unto myself and do the things that I put off for almost 30 years. I like learning and I love to be around smart people who have something to share so that I can learn even more.  I believe that everyone has something to give to someone else.  If we sit and listen to him believe it or not we can even learn from  the man in the gutter. We can  learn what it is like to be in the gutter. I just love romance and passion. I think it is the ingredient that makes life and people beautiful. I am spontaneous and fun. I like to laugh and play a lot.  Who said I have to dry up just because I got grown up?  I love to just get up and go whichever direction my mind takes me.  I think I'm kind of a unique creation in that I am like an open book, honest and uncomplicated, naive yet discerning. I want to live the rest of my life doing things other than the normal. I like beauty, inside and out.  I think for a person to be truly beautiful they have to work on their hearts and minds so that their inner beauty can shine through. A loving heart is a terrible thing to waste! I love the song "I believe I can fly" and my personal anthem is "My Way".  "I've lived a life that's full, I've traveled each and every highway, but oh, much more than this; I did it MY way!" Of course this caused my parents many a groans and sighs but in the end I had to be ME! To be or to think otherwise would have suffocated me and I would have died inside.I have met some wonderful people along the way.  I have also met some not so wonderful ones, but they left no indelible impression on me for too long of a time because I have a bad habit of pushing annoying things to the back of my mind where they are soon forgotten. Life is just too short to dwell on unpleasantness.  Some unpleasantness is out of your control, but then others can be alleviated by your choice to stay or go, although,I've learned the hard way that it doesn't pay to try to be sane in this mess of a world because for some reason people resent anything that is normal. 

But, despite all of this strange behaviour..LOL..I am a perfectly normal individual who is just about as content as anyone can be in this wacky, wild and wonderful world that we live in.

Reading, writing, camping, fishing; yes, a sister liking to fish and camp, driving, walking in the woods, decorating my home, poetry readeing at nursing homes, motivational speaking where and when needed. I like low-impact exercising, working in my yard and flower garden, driving up into the mountains, sitting by the lake.(We have a few in Arizona)trying to be the best I can be

Anyone who is interesting and leaves me with something profound to carry with me through this journey called LIFE. My family(most of them), My children(all of them)my friends(I have a few good ones and a lot of acquaintances) Babies from birth to age 3. When they start talking back and whining and throwing tantrums, I have to move on.

The lakes, alone with a handsome man in the woods holding hands, talking and just enjoying each other;my back porch facing the mountains, shopping, Tucson, Colorado springs, Maine and my BED!
