Hello ~

I have been looking for a site like this for, well, EONS! Never was one for chat rooms, personals sites or editorials. This feels just right! I could never say anything about me at all in 30 seconds. Not that complicated, just that my memory isn't what it used to be! Some would say I am outspoken, I say that I finally got a backbone. Love everything to do with Art, Animals, Adventure, Nature and am all tied into many things at once, most of the time. Hoping to find good conversation, sharing of ideas, and learning about how this world ticks from a mid-life point of view. Come introduce yourself at anytime.  I will be glad to pull up a chair, grab a cup of coffee and listen to what you have to say!

Fishing, cooking, decorating, gardening/landscaping, animal welfare, fairs/carnivals, flea markets, yard sales, auctions, mosaics, painting, music, writing, reading, hiking, nature photography..

Favorite Charities

Anything animal related, Hurricane Katrina, our local United Way which contibutes to many causes.

Favorite Music

Old soft rock, country and pop, Gordon Lightfoot, George Strait (I shook his hand), Allison Kraus, Celtic music, some Jazz and old polkas, 70's music, the list is way too long!

Favorite TV Shows

PBS! I don't have cable. I rent alot and borrow from our Library. They have the old, GOOD shows. I know, I'm pitiful. Not too much on Tv that I do watch due to the 5 channels we get. The sitcoms aren't that funny anymore, and drugs and crime don't thrill me. Reality shows aren't reality. Don't have cable because it would make me a couch potato, I think. Uneeded expense! I can get fat and lazy on my own! LOL

Favorite Movies

Anything moving, action packed, funny or scarey. Still like some oldies and not so old...the list gets longer every day.

Favorite Books

I tend to like non-fiction. Sometimes I just read up on whatever topic pops into my head, or that I see or hear about. Sometimes I go online and dig around on a topic and find whats out there, then see if my Library has it. I am not a collector of books. I believe in spreading the wealth (knowledge) so I give them away.

Favorite People

I have some dynamite friends, that are spread across the country. Along with them, I have many favorite animal friends, some that I think of as people - or maybe wish they were!

Favorite Places

Anywhere there is not a lot of people! Up north at our cabin, by Lakes Superior and Michigan, in state parks, on a lake fishing, near mountains. I have lived in WI, PA and NC and back to WI. I have yet to see the world, and really want to move to a warmer climate when I "retire".

Favorite Animals

My pets, 2 dogs and 2 cats. Horses, wildlife in general. I have a guinea pig that I love - crazy isn't it? I am such an animal person. I think that in order to find my ideal mate, they would have to love animals as much as I, or at least have compassion for them.
