More about me

I've just purchased(7/09) a house in Boynton Beach,Florida.  However,I'm going to wait until my 12 year old pit bull passes. While waiting,I'll lease this house.  In a few years,I'll sell my house in N.Y.,and become a Floridian. I will not miss winters in N.Y.-nor the extremely high property taxes. Actually,everything in N.Y. is extremely expensive.                                                       I have recently connected,through FB,with 2 first cousins of mine that are living in Florida. I haven't had any contact with them since childhood. This will make my move to Florida  a whole lot easier. I am very apprehensive,never having left N.Y. before. Now I'll have family waiting for me,which makes things a lot easier. Oops...I forgot to mention my sister. She lives in West Palm Beach,Florida,too. Oops,again...I forgot to mention my brother who lives in Tulsa,Oklahoma. I'm the oldest of the three.

Activities

Playing and listening to music-my #1 first love. Reading about and following politics. Also, photography. I loved walking around Manhattan, taking pictures. I love shopping. I also love tag sales and garage sales. To sum this up, I'll travel anywhere(almost)for a great price. I'm a bargain hunter/shopper.

Favorite Charities

I'm a big animal lover, so if I do give(economy and all), I will always choose a no-kill animal shelter, and the smaller the shelter, the better. All of my dogs have been rescues. When I finally do relocate to Florida, I'll be volunteering my time at a local animal shelter...most likely cleaning cages.

Favorite Music

Rock-classic, soft, country, and some hard. Folk music. Classical. Some blues. Anything done really well-Renaissance, Pablo Cruise, Chicago, The Eagles, Beatles, Carpenters, The Vogues. Although I'll listen to varied types of music, when I take out my guitar, I'll play and sing mostly soft rock...music from Bread, The Eagles, and The Beatles. I love harder rock, I just can't sing it.

Favorite TV Shows

Anything involving politics-political junkie-I watch it daily. Big Bang Theory, Moonlight and... I love westerns!

Favorite Movies

Sleepers(NOT the one with Woody Allen), 12 Angry Men, Gentleman's Agreement, Mr.Smith Goes To Washington, The Professionals, The Shootist, Greedy.

Favorite Books

Anything about investing-huge interest/hobby. Autobiographies-Bill Clinton's was great...Politics in general.
