Hi, my name is Joyce and I'm from Chicago.  What can I say about me is that I'm a fun loving person.  I love to travel.  I try to take a cruise every year.  I've only started cruising about 6 yrs ago.  I have a (what I call a cruising family).  It just consist of a bunch of people who love to cruise.  We get together every year and plan a trip. 

I love getting together with family and friends and have big, loud discussions about anything.  I said discussions, not arguments.  But you know how that goes sometimes.  It's all in fun.  We laugh a lot in my family.  I have a family full of comedians.  I always said we should have our own comedy club. 

I have one daughter who is 32 yrs old.  Oh my goodness, did I just admit that?  She is my heart.  Must say, I did a darn good job raising her.  She's a college grad and a manager at BP oil company. 

I just adopted a little kitten, named Kittles who I just fell heads over heels in love with.  Ask me why, because this cat is destroying my house.  She is so playful, and hyper and I could go on.  She has broken numerous of things, but I just smile and wipe the sweat from my brow and keep going.  I'm adjusting to her, she's already adjusted to me.

All animals. I just love all animals. Some humans too if they are friendly.

Favorite Movies

Favorite movies. I don't know, not too many out that I like anymore. I use to like horror movies, but since I've gotten older, can't take those too much anymore. I love mysteries, love stories, (you know, chick flix), comedies, if they're funny. Antwone Fisher, The Fighting Temptations, any Tyler Perry movies. I love Madea.

Favorite Books

My favorite author is James Patterson. Love the suspenseful books. I do like bios. Always in somebody else's business. I love spirituality books. Any book that helps me to learn about the Bible.

Favorite Music

I love old school music. I love the Isley Bros., Gap Band, Chi-lites, Smokey Robinson, Temptations, you know the stuff. I do like some of the newer artist, Alicia Keys, Maroon 5, can't think of too many. Don't like rap music. Can't stand rap music. I also love gospel. On sundays, you can hear my gospel cds playing in my kitchen.

Favorite TV Shows

My all time favorite.....Law and Order SVU. I got it right. I usually say SUV. Love it, love it, love it. Also, Cold Case. Right now, I'm on a reality show kick. I love mostly all of them. Amazing Race, Big Brother, American Idol, So you think you can dance, America's Next Top Model. Whew, I'm out of breath. I've fallen in love the Touched by an Angel. I need a box of tissues for the hour. Love Lincoln Heights.

Favorite Charities

I have volunteered on the homeless committee at church. It breaks my heart to see people just living on the streets. Everyone should have a nice warm safe place to lay their heads. I also give every month to St. Jude children's hospital. Every time I send my donation, I write "for my babies".

Jesus. Enough said. Also, my mom. I love my mom, my best friend.

Favorite Places

I love my church. I love being there for any reason. On a cruise ship going anywhere. West Indies, Virgin Islands and Hawaii, are my favorite vacation spots.

Activities

I love cruising. Been on about 6 cruises. I've been cruising with people who have been on about 40 cruises, so I guess I'm the newborn in the family. I love to shop. Surprise, surprise. I can't pass up a shoe store. I need some serious therapy on that. I have shoes that I haven't even worn. I love going to flea markets and looking for bargains. I love going to my church and just being there. We take classes, such as computers, and language, just about everything you can think of. Right now, I'm so interested in learning the Bible. I'm taking classes on each book in the Bible.
