More about me

I am known in certain circles (our local elementary school) as the guy who saves the turtles.  In the eyes of some of my 8 year-old daughter’s friends, I am a very cool dad; now if I could get my daughter to agree!  This heightened perception comes from my presentations to her school and friends about my volunteer time spent with Earthwatch working on a leatherback sea turtle research project in Costa Rica.

 

In real life, I do help save the turtles.  In addition, I help others get out into the world to save the planet AND bring those experiences back into the classrooms and communities where they live.  As the Director of Fellowship Engagement at Earthwatch, I get to help give expeditions away to teachers, zookeepers, students and other important stakeholders who can make a difference in their community.
