Places I've been

I was borned and raised in Huntington,WV... I've lived in WV,Ky and Ohio at various times, I've called Ohio home since Oct 0f 1988. Other places I've lived for a brief time was Louisa Ky.This was back in early 70's. Places I've visited during my life time as a child went to Opryland in Tenn. As an Adult back in April of 2000-01 I took my first and only plane flight to visit what I thought might be a romantic interest out in Bakersfield Ca. while there we also went to San Fran and also around the outer Lake Tahoe area as a result of a wedding of the woman's cousin...While out there I got to see the Giant Redwoods which was pretty amazing! So even though the relationship fizzled, it had its moments of interest and opportunity to see abit of the west coast...Other then that I've not had to many occasions to travel, although I'd love to be able too, if the resources were there to enable my wife and I to do so.

I'm married to my wife Pam of 8yrs as of our last anniversary we celebrated on 10/12/10. From two  past marriages I've had two bright and healthy beautiful children one of which is my oldest daughter who is the proud parent of one 12yr old boy.She's also an RN at a local hospital.The other is my son who will be starting his junior year of college this month he too is looking to try and get accepted into a nursing program thru the same hospital as my daughter is working in. I've been employed with the same institution for 30+ yrs. I've enjoyed 2 primary interest when it comes to activities they are bowling & camping! I have other interest as you can read about in the interest section of the page... I suppose sometimes I consider myself to be verbally challenged when it comes to expressing my thoughts, not being gifted with the gift of gab to engage in alot of chit chat... I feel I'm friendly with those who'll take the time to get to know me!

I like to write at times and jot my thoughts down when the notion strikes within a journal that I've started a few years ago.

The collection of thoughts and expressions have ranged from Hi to Low and those in between. My writings for the most part, are of a personal nature in airing feelings and emotions being dealt with during my life! I personally believe its hard to know people at face value unless you have been in their shoes and can relate to what motivates them either positively or negatively. Relationships takes time to build, but one must first choose to build with patience and care showing understanding and commitment to making it endure.

Activities

Bowling - Camping - Walking - Bicycling - doing simple flower gardening around the house, I've dabbled with videography at times as well as enjoying photography of nature settings basically for my own pleasure. I also have enjoyed fishing at times, though it's been several years now since I've gone.

Favorite Charities

I believe charity begins at home, Home being where the heart is...It's more then just money or finances that one gives it's a person's time, their energy, their love to a person, a group, or even an organization. Charity is giving of yourself or your resources to help others in need As far as organizations that depend upon charity I believe one's church should be at the top of each list then others provided one has the financial ability to give.

Favorite Music

I like most genre of music, except for hard rock, rap, or music that promotes drugs or violence! Generally I listen to Christian music, country, easy listening, I like bluegrass, soft rock, instrumental music that's soothing. One of my favorite songs would be by Vince Gill "Go rest high on the mountain". I also enjoy music by Kenny G. its soothing and romantic as well.

Favorite TV Shows

Gunsmoke - Walker Texas Ranger, NCIS, Andy Griffith, too many to list or even remember over the yrs some have come and gone.

Favorite Movies

Gee there's been a lot, but way to many to mention but of a few that's stayed in the forefront... A classic being The Ten Commandments, then there's others like The Passion of Christ, Brian's Song, Terms of Endearment, On Golden Pond, Remember the Titans, Facing the Giants so few among so many movies that are out there.

Favorite Books

I really don't read as much as I use to when I was younger...but the Bible would be a favorite, along with short stories or paper novels westerns or mysteries.

Favorite Quotes

As far as any quote being notable... We are all children under the mask of adulthood, while the outer shell is what we see, much like a book and its cover its what's contained within the pages of ones life that reveals what the true character of the person is like...much is said that Beauty is in the eye of the beholder but knowing the heart and character of the person as only God can would we really get to be able to see the person for what they are inside.There is No Sin that is so dark or so bad that the Blood of Christ can not cover!

Favorite People

My favorite people have been those have chosen to love me, without condemning me with their words or actions. Allowing me to be me even with my faults while helping me to be a better person. Giving me their time when I need a sounding board or perhaps a shoulder to cry on when tragic things happen. I'm not sure if their are any meeting this description in my life or not but time will tell.

Favorite Places

Come in different season's of one's life! When we've yet to be born its the womb of the loving mother, at other times its within the company of those that love and support us, as our journey along life's pathway progresses its those places where we bond our relationships with those we have taken perhaps as our spouse, or our closes friends. Then as life nears its end it'll be with Jesus if we've given our lives to him! What's a favorite place to you may not be to another, but Heaven should be the awaited favorite place we should all strive or long for when life's journey has ended!

Favorite Animals

Former pets that aren't living now. Cody (6mos old English sheep dog) Peppy & CoCo a couple of mixed breed dogs that I'd cared deeply for at different times in my life.
