For most of my life, I lived in southern Indiana, just across the Ohio River from Louisville, Kentucky. In 2007, I moved to Frankfort, Kentucky, so I am now a Kentucky girl. I enjoy travel and have been many places in the United States, plus trips to France and Romania. I was invited to travel to Tulcea, Romania as a journalist and tour orphanages that I had written about the previous year. It was a wonderful, life-changing experience. Since then, I try to not take our great country and its freedoms for granted.

As you can tell from this text, red is my favorite color. My only child is a lovely, intelligent and delightful daughter who is 24 and the light of my life. Her husband is a great guy. No grandkids yet, just a 75-lb. granddog and three grandkittens.

I am curious about life, always wanting to learn more and be adventurous. In the next year or so, I want to fly in a hot-air balloon and go whitewater rafting.

Diet Pepsi is my drink of choice after water. Dark chocolate is the best, but I would never turn down ANY chocolate. :)

Meeting new people and learning about them is fun. I am definitely outgoing and a people person.

Music is good for the soul! Rock n' roll, jazz, classical, blues, and some country music are my favorites.

I love animals, particularly ones that I can cuddle---cats, dogs, rabbits. One of the good things about living in Frankfort is the abundance of deer. I have taken many photos of them as them graze near the road. It is very inspiring as a writer to be around nature, in the mountains, at the beach---anywhere away from the busyness of cities. Though I love the countryside, I don't want to be hours away from a major city. For a single person, there is not much to do in a small town, even if it is the state capital.
