    Places I've been
Upstate New York (Hometown), Dubrovnik, in the former Republic of Yugoslavia, is the only truly magical place I've ever been. Some day I will rent a flat there in the medieval walled city, spending my days sipping espresso in streetside cafes. When I do, it will be as far from my east cost industrial origins as possible! For now, however, I'm enjoying life in the middle of Washington wine country, on the Columbia River. Pit stops in my life have included St. Louis, Kansas City, Clearwater Fla., Idaho Falls, and others. During an early career in the travel industry, I traveled to England, France, Germany, The Netherlands, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Singapore, Switzerland, Mexico, Hawaii, Alaska, Canada, Puerto Rico, and -- of course -- Yugoslavia.

    About Me

"In three words, I can sum up everything I've learned about life: It goes on."  (Robert Frost)

I HOLD THESE TRUTHS TO BE SELF EVIDENT:

    1) A healthy woman needs four things: A good man, a well-stocked wine cellar, the number of a highly skilled plastic surgeon, and an excellent shrink.

    2) Compassion, reasoning, art, and religious thought are the only exclusively human endeavors.  These should be passionately pursued.

     3) Getting dressed ought to be the first artistic endeavor of the day.

    4) The perfect relationship between a man and a woman is a semi-colon; it relates two independent clauses without a conjunction.

    5) Some women truly are born without a sense of direction, time, or distance (or the ability to do Algebra).  We give the ones who weren't a bad rep.

    6) Um...make that five things...she also needs a great pair of black pumps.

    7) Thomas Paine really got a raw deal.
