 My husband and I are both retired and enjoying the good life - The good life for us means visiting Las Vegas a lot, staying up as late as we want, sleeping late, doing what we want which includes spending lots of quality time with our 5 cats.  Also, moving to a warmer climate may be in the near future.

Shopping heads my list of favorite things and I  work part time as an independent consultant doing mystery shopping.  Stores, restaurants, and grocery chains will hire you to pose as a customer, evaluate customer service and report back to them.  This gives businesses a customer's viewpoint and helps them  see where their weaknesses lie, and if their training programs are working.  I also appreciate good customer service.  And if  there's one thing I like to do, it's SHOP! 

Another thing I'm doing that I never thought I could do is draw, and I recently signed up for a class at a local community college titled "Drawing for Those Who Can't". My teacher said, "If you can sign your name, you can draw." And guess what: it's so true. I continue to amaze myself.   A fabulous site for art is drawspace.com - it just makes you want to draw. As a child, I took piano lessons from the 3rd through the 8th grade.  Then I discovered Elvis and "Hound Dog" and that was the end of the piano for me. 

Since retiring, I have resurrected this learned skill .  To see my competition, just view the video below of Catkins playing the piano.  [Speakers On and turned up LOUD.]  At one point it sounds like Chopsticks. 

Right now I am working on Pachelbel's Canon in D and am amazed at how it's all coming back to me now.  (Does that sound like Celine?)  When I get all my flats and sharps in order I plan to record Pachelbel and put it on my page and hey - maybe, just maybe  - I'll even sing "It's All Coming Back to Me Now"  for you on Sims. 

After approximately 30 years' absence,  I've taken up bicycle riding. I'm a caregiver for several feral cats and ride over to feed them every day.  In fact I ride all over the neighborhood - places I never before would have dreamed of going on a bike: to the Mall shopping, to the library, to visit friends, to the China Buffet on Saturday night, to snap pictures in my neighborhood to post on my profile page, etc.   

Some day I hope to visit Ireland and look up my ancestors.  It's on my list of "Twenty Wishes."

I prefer to donate hand-to-hand and by that I mean seeing some unfortunate person right on the street and slipping them $20. For example, my sister and I were walking down the street when we saw a VietNam vet in a wheel chair without any legs. We each gave him $20. I would like to extend A VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU to all our military veterans out there on Eons who risked their lives for freedom's cause.
