More about me

I grew up in a small town in central IL, population around 1500. Got married right out of high school and had my daughter. Got divorced as he drifted while I was pregnant (very bitter after that towards men in general). Got married again - just for companionship. He took my finances for a whirlwind. Found what I call my soulmate online in a chat room regarding small town living. Small world - he was from my hometown! Long story short - we have been together for 10 years and married since October 2004. We compliment and support each other and that's what makes us work.

I have a daughter from marriage #1. She would make any Momma proud. She is my best friend, as my Mom is to me. Daughter moved to Bakersfield, CA to get her masters degree in English Lit. She now teaches there. She married her boyfriend in a Las Vegas wedding, and no Elvis was not in attendance.

Hubby has 2 sons. Both reside with their mother in the Chicago area. Oldest one is in college trying to figure out how to make his first million, while the other can't wait to finish high school.

And last but not least is our 4th child, Patches. Hubby gave her to me as a Valentine's Day gift in 2006. She is spoiled and tempermental, but we love her to pieces.

I have worked all of my life as an admin assistant or legal assistant - until recently. I was fired for reasons that are still unclear to me. I am still searching for a job, but am having a very difficult time just getting an interview. For now I am concentrating on my studies. I recently received my Associates in Applied Science, graduating with high honors and am have transferred to Eastern Illinois University to begin work on my Bachelors of General Studies.

And in all of my "spare time" I relax with my husband (who works 3rd shift), watch movies, and spend time with my family, read, and bake.
