I'm 51 years old and am excited about getting on with the 2nd half of my life. After a few years in hibernation, I'm ready to get out there and start experiencing life and doing the things I love to do. I have two absolutely delightful sons and live in the stunning northwest, so what more could I ask for?!

Activities

Reading, knitting, baking, traveling, traveling, traveling. I'm working hard to regain good health because I dearly miss hiking and cross country skiing. Last year, in Mexico, I snorkeled for the first time and am hooked...love it!!

Truly, I like most music. Okay, Heavy Metal isn't one of my favorites. But....I like some rap if the lyrics are good, classical if it's zippy, Latin for the beat, most 50's, 60's and 70's rock, pop, swing... My top three male vocalists are: Andrea Bocelli, Andy Williams, and Eric Clapton. Top three females: Trisha Yearwood, Martina McBride and Sarah Brightman. Top bands: Bob Seger's, Creedence Clearwater, Chicago, Huey Lewis, Dave Matthews, and any swing band.

Favorite TV Shows

Grey's Anatomy, The View, Biography, Larry King, CNN, Tim Russert, Ramsay's Kitchen Nighmares, BBC World, Dancing with the Stars, anything on the Tavel Channel and The Amazing Race.

Sliding Doors, The Kid, Bringing up Baby, Amelie, Crash, Love Actually, The Bournes', P.S. How about favorite authors....Jane Austen, Martha Grimes, Jan Karon, Dorothea Benton Frank, Bill Bryson, Alexander McCall Smith, Nicholas Sparks, Jim Harrison, Anita Shreve, Dickens, Virginia Woolf, and Evanovich's goofy Stephanie Plum. So many more. I also thought "The Road, " by Cormac McCarthy and "The Kite Runner, " by Khaled Hosseini were excellent.
