Reading, hiking, playing certain (usually puzzle type) video games. Writing, brainstorming with my 24 year old dd: She writes fanfic online....i tend to poetry and personal essay type stuff....but i like thinking up 'what if' scenarios.

VERY eclectic....everything from classical to country to 'Old time Rock & Roll', the dd even has gotten me into some rap music. Play 'world music' cd that are heavy on drumming when doing spring and fall deep cleanings....they keep me moving at a good pace.

Science (physics, space), nature, history....but also like the 'forensics' shows: Original CSI, NCIS, Criminal minds. But have no problem turning it off and putting music on while i read.

Oh, so many: What Dreams May Come, Crash, anything by Shimalyan, almost anything with a spiritual theme, or about memory/psychology issues (think Identity, Memento), or the nature of reality (Butterfly Effect, Truman Show).

Mostly science, spirituality, some biography--prefer autobiographies, When in teens and 20's read a lot of science fiction, but now days rarely read fiction--the occaisionaly Stephen King or more likely Dean Koontz. Recently read a sort of Scifi thriller called 'Book of Names' that grabbed me...finished within 24 hrs of starting it last weekend. Fiction has to 'GRAB' me by the end of first chapter or i won't invest my time. I have an eye problem that puts limits on my reading time i didn't used to have. So, i won't tire my eyes for a book that doesn't compel me.

Who is the most interesting person you have ever met?

This is hard...i've led a 'chinese curse' life and have met so many interesting people (well known and otherwise). Some of the people i knew in high school and right after are scientists and artists. Some of the ones out of the limelight were more interesting than the 'famous' ones by virtue of their capacity to relate to others, their altruism, or their egos...while i didn't keep them in my life and wouldn't want them back in my life they would enliven works of fiction.

Now that you are over 50, what are you doing that you never thought you would?

Nothing....i was always open to life, even if i drew inward for various periods. I've been at the same job for almost 6 years...and that kind of amazes me..i worked office temps for over 10 years for the freedom to travel around the country and the challenge of learning new things.

A world tour of sites with special meaning to me. It would include Ireland, Wales and Hungary---because they're where my grandparents immigrated from. But i'd also love to see Stonehenge, Mt. Fugi, the Gate of the Sun at Lake Titicata, Jerusalem, the Sphinx & Pyramids. Then i'd need a week here at home to process it all to decompress.

Where were you born?

Tampa, Florida. USA...but lived in Gibsontown my first year (with all the circus sideshow folk)and then in Ruskin, Fl until i was 9. I've now lived in Wyoming continuously longer than i have anywhere else...and sincerely doubt i'd live elsewhere again...might visit but not move anywhere else.
