Places I've been: Born in California, now living in Bowie, Md. Moving in April to Gloucester, Va where I will retire!! Also lived in Dallas Texas,the Big Island of Hawaii, also Oahu; took a couple of cruises to Alaska.
More about me: I'm an old hippie. I lived in the Fellowship of Christian Pilgrims commune in Hawaii during the 70's and had 2 of my three children there. Hawaii was so much fun then; haven't been back since but plan to now that I'm RETIRING!! I'm pretty excited about that! My whole life is getting ready to change bigtime and I'm pretty psyched about it! But I know I'll be facing some new challenges ahead. I'll be moving into our family house on the river by May 1st and my parents, who are now in assisted living and are 90 and 91, will move back into their home with me and I'll pick it up from there. That's the challenge. I don't have any medical background but I'm doing a lot of reading these days on "How to care for aging parents;" that sort of thing. We'll see how this all works out.

Branches are so heavy - I may have to prop up - spring has arrived in the south.

I just lovfe iris also, so many colors. I have one that smeels like grapes, makes me want to take a bite. Have you thought about the mini iris for your window boxes? They just might work. The color selection isnt as good but they are still pretty.

Lived by Petersburg Va for a little while so there is another thing and I am staying with my mom who is 90 though she takes care of herself mostly. I guess I have been a self appointed care taker. Was never around when we were kids. Though I have my own home I have shut it down to stay with mom. Never lived in a comune but did a lot of work for one in Hirem Ohio and had friends that lived there. I used to do a lot of birding in my younger days also. Had Chickodes and Nuthatches feed out of my hands in the winter by my feeders what a thrill to have wild animals trust that much.
