I am a retired nurse, with 4 sons and 11 grandchildren. Not a one even lives in my home state of Texas. I have two sons and a daughter in law that are career military. One is in Iraq, one in Afghanistan and one to go to Korea in may. I wish that I was closer to my grandchildren, so I could really play Grandma, but they are all scattered all over the US. I am also a caretaker for my mother, an 82 year old spitfire.

At one point, my family moved to West Palm Bach, Fla and I spent all my preteens, teens and early adult life growing up near the Beach. As with most Texans, I always return to Texas, but my mind is always open to a new place to call home.

I am also a devote Christian and am very proud of that. This is not something that came easy to me, even though I was raised in the church. I think of myself as a Christian with a sense of humor. I would never force my views on anyone, unless they ask.

I admit to being a high strung,  "high maintenance" female that shows my feelings and sometimes regret that, but that is just a part of me. I usually am able to admit when I am wrong. I forgive easily. I admit to being sensitive, but I am able to bounce back from a hurt fairly quickly.

I love the internet, especially reading Blogs, reading almost anything, watching TV, golf, painting with acrylics on canvas, playing cards and board games, traveling, meeting new friends from Eons in person, which I have done twice now. I love small container gardening, caring for my faithful pouch, Fred, who loves me unconditionally. Fred is an adorable Shih Zu mix, we think. He is supposed to be full blooded, but trust me, he isn't He is mostly a purebred PIA. He is a rescue, so you can also say, I love animals.

I love EONS and think it has much to offer to even the casual internet user. I originally came to EONS almost 2 years ago, under the name Diana07. I changed it Feb of this year. I encourage all new members to find a group they can think of as a home base, even though you may belong to many groups. EONS friends are just as close, if not closer than those we see face to face.  There is something for everyone here and so much to learn.

I want to share  what I have learned this week, ICE.......(in case of emergency) You can do this by adding ICE in front of a name on your cell phone. This helps someone to pass important information to another or check on you. There are many types of emergencies. It is scary when you have a friend that you have not seen in days or weeks. Your can designate those you have become close enough on EONS to share personal information, to become an ICE Buddy. This is the go to person that can get in contact with you or know you well enough, that may check in on you, when you haven't showed signs of being on EONS for a while. Remember to choose carefully and cautiously.
