Places I've been

CA, all of New England, down through the the eastern seaboard states to FL. ALSO MI, IN ,TN, KY,NV and GA. I think that covers the states I have been in. Bigger cities would be Cleveland, Las Vegas, Columbus, Cincinnati, Miami, Tampa/ St Pete, New York City, LA, DC, San Francisco. Have been to England, France, Germany and Scotland. England is my favorite place to be outside of USA. I love London and would like to live there for at least 6 months. The best part of England for me is the rural areas, the smaller cities and villages. It is the English people that make me yearn to return. Typing the above served as a reminder to me that I have truly been blessed!

I am a female, age 59. Divorced from a decades long marriage...for a few years now. I did not initiate the divorce. It was a rough road for awhile. My faith, family and friends helped me get on even ground once again. Life is grand!

I have one child, a son age 28, and my wonderful daughter in law, age 25. I have 4 siblings, 4 in law sibs, and several nieces and nephews. We are 27 strong and grow each year. My parents are deceased, as are my in laws. I have worked in City government for 22 years. Prior to that I worked in a large metro hospital.

Activities

Spending time with family members! Watching pro football ( GO Browns ) and major league baseball ( Go Tribe ). I enjoy reading, gardening, traveling , photography and genealogy. I also enjoy keeping up on current events and political issues. I am family orientated first, then I strive to help those in need as best as I can afford. Thus I am also very community orientated. I love finding a worthy (to me) cause and volunteering for the cause or to help people. I have worked on political campaigns in the past and expect to do so again. I am particulary interested in WW II era. Recently visited Normandy Beaches and that area. Full of our history and they love Americans!

Favorite Charities

Leukemia/Lymphoma Society. Light the Night Walk for same in Cleveland, Ohio. Local Relay for Life team. Domestic Violence Shelters.

Favorite Music

late 50's, 60's and early 70's rock... Elvis and the Beatles... way too many to mention! I like most types of music.. however I am not a fan of real twangy country, blue grass, rap or hip hop.

Favorite TV Shows

# 1 is the Sorpanos. I have DVD's on the entire series. I have seen each episode a minimum of 5 times, most more than that. ER, Jericho, House, Grey's Anatomy, LIttle People, Big World, Jon & Kate plus 8. I enjoy a lot of the Some of the shows that are on Discovery, The Learning Channel and the History Channel. LOST!!! - newly addicted having watched seasons 1-4. Anxiously awaiting sale of season 5 on 12.12. I will need to catch up in prep for season 6 in January

Favorite Movies

I can't pick just a few. I like Dramas, comedy, true story, historical, westerns, war, documentaries, disaster, horror.. I can't even pick one type of movie over others, let alone movies!

Favorite Books

Now this is impossible for me. I am an avid readers. Read a wide variety of types of of books. I cannot pick a favorite, although there are many that I have read over again, several times. When I was a pre teen, my favorite was: Clara Barton, nurse and founder of the American Red Cross.
