Have visited many wonderful places in this country and some in Canada. My favorites are Yosemite Nat. Park, Sedona, AZ, Zion Nat. Park and Bryce Canyon, both in Utah. All are spiritual places.

My story depicts my personal journey through life as one who, without consciously thinking of it, always had an abiding trust in God. Life has carefully guided me through the varied experiences I needed to encounter—from the moment of my birth in Romania to fleeing from the onslaught of the Russian Army to living as a refugee in Austria before eventually finding the fulfillment of my family’s dream in America, the land of the free. My spiritual guidance took me from love at first sight (married 46 years)to a captain’s position in the maximum security prison on Riker’s Island (retired), to seeking truth as a student of meta-physical philosophy to sharing my story with others.

My spiritual quest continues.

My more recent journey includes probably the most difficult of my life. My daughter has been on life-support and a feeding tube in a nursing facilty since November, 2006. She is brain damaged due to a lack of oxygen to the part of her brain near the brain stem, due to unknown reasons. She has cognitive abilities and knows that her husband passed away in May, 2008. She is still grieving his loss and it is up to my wife and myself to try to life her spirits and comfort her.

My intuition, since the beginning, has told me that she can eventually make a recovery that will allow her to come home.

It requires all my spiritual strength to maintain my trust in Life. So far I have been able to maintain my belief in Life only giving us what is best for our highest good.  

A prayer for our spiritual strength from others is appreciated.

Activities

Playing Upwards with my wife (like Scrabble but the words are built upwards 5 letters high. Meta-physical/spiritual philosophy (not so much religious). Reading and playing computer pool and Freecell.

Favorite Charities

Care, Freewheelchairmission.org, cancer care, Salvation Army, a bunch more that really help people.

An eclectic mix except hard rock or Rap.
