I have lived in Arkansas all my life and, of course, love it! Places I have been are Branson, Boston, Dallas, Memphis, Nashville, Pensacola, St Petersburg, and Orlando, FL, Norfolk and Williamsburg, VA, Reno and Lake Tahoe.

More about me

     I am a small town girl living in a city that I love.  I married my high school sweetheart 36 years ago.  He had already relocated here for his job (he will have been with the same company for 40 yrs in May).  He was 21 and I had just turned 19 when we married.  We are both pretty traditional.  We have had a good marriage centered around God first and then our family.  We were blessed with two wonderful sons that have grown into fine young men.  One came to us through adoption after struggling with infertility and the second one was a wonderful surprise 2 1/2 yrs later!  I never wanted a career - just to be a wife and a mother, but  have worked various office positions through the years always working around the boy's schedules.  I have been unable to work full-time since the fall of 2005 when my health problems  escalated.  I have been diagnosed with bronchomalacia and fibromyalgia.  I was first diagnosed with Lupus, but that is uncertain after getting a second opinion (waiting on more lab).  I work part-time as the Ministerial Assistant for the Somers Avenue Church of Christ, where we are members.  I maintain our website, track attendance, and assit our three ministers or the elders as needed with reports, etc., plus maintain our power point announcements.  I love my work and am so thankful to be able to work from home.  I could not do this otherwise.   My greatest joy is being with my family, especially our adorable little 2 yr old grandson, Cole.  I occasionally get to babysit him and it is so special.  We are going through a very sad time as his mother left and has filed for divorce (she has found someone else).  We are giving our son all the support we can and trying to get through this.  On a happy note, our son and daughter-in-law in Pensacola are trying to start a family - so God willing, we have another grandchild this year! 

Activities

Spending time with my family, epecially my grandson. I enjoy browsing on the internet. I love decorating my home, shopping, flea markets, traveling, and I like to read. I love camping (which we have been away from for a few years, but hope to return to when my husband retires) and the Arkansas Razorbacks Football & Basketball!

American President, While You Were Sleeping, most anything on Hallmark and Lifetime. I enjoy pioneer day themes, murder mysteries, detective, & medical theme movies, but most of all romantic comedies & love stories.
