I don't like to participate in political arguments on the web, though I love the subject. I would like to share the following piece from the Wall Street Journal:

GOP Nativists Lose One for the Gipper

I support President Bush's immigration bill. It's not perfect, but it would be an improvement over doing nothing. No one can possibly agree on all issues, and no one candidate can satisfy a potential voter on every single viewpoint. I don't think the government ought to prohibit abortion, yet I don't think they ought to be paying for  embryonic stem-cell research, when plenty of universities and private companies are doing it without Uncle Sam's involvement
