Places I've been

I traveled cross country in a station wagon with my two sisters, 2 brothers, and our father to Washington state to visit my dad's sister, husband and their 8 (I think) children. We all slept in the car, and drove my dad insane the entire trip. (Mom followed via air.)More recently, I was working as a traveling R.N., and worked in Myrtle Beach, Phoenix, and Charleston. S.C.

More about me

I am very satisfied with my life presently. I have a huge, loving family; this includes one daughter, 2 grandchildren, and 1 cat. I am a little thing: 5'0" and 105#. I am in remission from pancreatic cancer, and am probably permanently disabled from the disease and the problems left by the treatments.  By this I mean the docs think I won't be able to ever work again, but my strength continues to improve, and I am able to be independent.  Known by my signature ever-present smile, I love to entertain friends and family with my good home cooking. One of the lucky ones, I have several best friends, and do appreciate them all.

Activities

Spoiling the grandchildren would have to come in at the top of the list. I love to cook and entertain in my home as stated above, and love the outdoors. I catch and release, and would rather fish a pond than a river (except for the Shad Derby). I am a R.N. by profession, and would much rather be the nurse than the patient. I like to bowl, and also enjoy the bowling machines set up in the pubs. I neither smoke nor drink, but do enjoy an occasional night out with friends and non-alcoholic beverages. I love to dress up, but am equally as comfortable in t-shirt and jeans.

Favorite Music

This is really hard. Like classical, country, old rock, Linkin Park, Creed, Godsmack (where did they get that name, anyway?) Patsy Cline, The Big Bopper - Chantilly Lace, ...I think that about sums it up (No rap or opera) Love the blues and sappy old romantic songs.

Favorite TV Shows

What Not to Wear! Those ER shows (I am a nurse). The Tuetels cycle show, LA Ink, Discovery stuff, Nature shows. No soaps!
