The Miracle Worker - (Helen Keller's parents thought she could never learn to communicate well enough to live outside an institution, so, they were prepared to send her away for life. Annie Sullivan, a teacher, argued with them to let her try to connect with Helen and they reluctantly agreed to give her a short amount of time to work with Helen before they would send her to an institution. After many attempts, blind and deaf Helen Keller finally understood that the finger movements Annie was signing into her palm were unique to the fluid flowing on her from the water pump - she then runs from here to there - touching the ground, trees, etc., to have Annie sign into her palm.
