About
- Places I've been
-
Born in Dallas, Texas, went to college at West Texas State University, now West Texas A&M in Canyon, Texas. Lived on the Texas South Plains before moving to Ft Worth and then to Houston. Now live in Spring which is the northern most suburb of Houston, a beautiful area with lots of woods, tall pines and oaks. But the developers are slowing destroying a vast portion of these woods, very sad indeed.
- More about me

I have lived in Texas all my life, and have traveled to most states, my favorite being Pennsylvania during the fall months. I've also been to Europe and Mexico and plan a trip to Ireland and Scotland when the dollar gets stronger. I am of Scotch-Irish background, have red hair and green eyes to prove it. My husband is a professional photographer, and my family includes three grown children, seven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren, who are the delights of my life. The camera has taken us many interesting places and provided some unique experiences, especially when doing weddings of all nationalities and religions. Some of our clients have become life-long friends. I am also a crafter, having spent hours knitting, crocheting, counted cross-stitching, making dolls with complete wardrobes, you name it. I taught school a couple of years in far West Texas, worked at NASA during the Apollo missions, and retired from a major oil company a few years ago. Retirement is a dream come true and we are enjoying every single day to the fullest. I enjoy a good book and good music. My favorite novelists are Jeffrey Archer, John Grishom, and Ken Follett. My husband and I also enjoy foreign films and feel they are better these days than most things coming out of Hollywood. I have become so use to reading subtitles that I now look for them when watching a movie in English. The Brit and Irish films are more difficult because they are not subtitled and those accents are so difficult to understand sometimes. But we love the BBC series that we now get on CDs. Football is another great love of mine and I go into withdrawal when the season is over. College football is my favorite, the bands and the whole environment create such happy feelings. Pro ball lacks that atmosphere, but I love it just the same. My husband hates football, but loves boxing...ugh!
