College in Meadville PA, Ames IA and University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and then a stint teaching psych at Furman University in Greenville SC. Did a Big Road Trip in 1977 covering 26,000 miles in a loop around the US (9.5 months). Business takes me around - 30 countries so far, some many times (Hong Kong, Singapore, South Africa) and some really neat places like Mauritius and Trinidad. Travel is an enjoyable part of my work: seminars and workshops. Especially when it's done on Other People's Money...

You would find me to be a romantic, funny, bright, impulsive, fun and honest guy with a love of high adventure and adrenaline. I like having playful exchanges as well as serious discussions. Lots of travel and different experiences over the years. Ended my marriage about 6 years ago, and still looking for the right partner (referrals appreciated!). My casual relationships have just not worked out, so far...

I am one of those Progressives, and liberal in my attitudes about a lot of things. For the past 25 years, I have owned my own training business, selling materials for team building and performance improvement to companies all over the world. My travels have taken me to 33 countries so far, and I am still counting! (Yeah, I am a bit famous in my own little niche.)

Educated but not snooty, and I love challenges. I read a LOT, reading magazines like Wired, Time, Sports Illustrated, Car and Driver and Mother Jones among others -- maybe reading 30 books a year, many of them novels.

I play fair and have a high level of loyalty to my friends.

My hobbies include playing pool (I play very well), listening to music (rock and roll) and gardening (flowers, mostly). Oh, yeah - and vacuuming and doing dishes. (Not!)

I am here in Eons to have fun, meet other people, tell a few jokes and get in minor kinds of trouble for speaking my mind. You'll find me open and extroverted -- and I AM searching for a serious relationship and willing to invest time and energy in searching that out.

 Oh yeah, expect me to NOT act my age. 

 

Favorite Movies

The Search for Red October - I still like to watch (the book was great!). Top Gun. Eddie and The Cruisers. Lord of The Rings. (I generally do not like tear-jerkers because my eyes water -- I will NEVER watch Old Yeller again.)

Favorite TV Shows

No real favorites, but none of the "reality shows."

Activities

bicycling, gardening, pool / billiards, taking a long hot bath while reading a book. Riding my Honda CBR sports bike.

Favorite Charities

None are preferred. My colleges. United Way on occasion. The IRS, for shure.

Favorite Music

Coldplay, Eagles, Kings of Leon, 3 Doors Down, Evanescence, Audioslave, Pearl Jam, Staind, Creed and others of the modern era, plus old NY and Philly accapella (like in Rocky), old hard rock, stuff like don henley, jackson browne, and CSNY.

Favorite Books

Action books: dale brown, tom clancy, and those kinds of novels. I occasionally will pick up a classic just for the heck of it. I hit the library a lot, reading 2 books a month or so plus a lot of magazines.

Michael Moore. People who step up and advocate saving the planet. Anyone against these stupid "Wars" in the mid-east. Any ACLU member.

Glacier National Park, Grand Canyon / Colorado River (floated it 3 times so far - one more, maybe?), Yosemite, Bryce, Cape Town, Hong Kong, Paris, Tokyo, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Bruge (Belgium), Avalon NJ, San Diego, Bar Harbor and Big Sur

Favorite Animals

Finnigan (my springer spaniel of 20 years ago and the brightest dog in the history of mankind). Adrienne, my poodle, died last Spring. My cat, Catie.
