More about me

 I am an American ex-pat living in the city of Zacatecas, which is in the central highlands of Mexico. That's up in the mountains in about the center of the country. I teach English at the local university,

I run daily, do yoga, lift some weights, eat right and think pure thoughts. OK, I lied about the pure thoughts, but the rest is true. I drive a motorscooter and pretend I am a Biker Chick.

I spend way too much time on the internet. I LOVE the internet. I love computer stuff, surfing the net and reading free ebooks. I do so love free.

I am a Zen Buddhist, (a rarity in this country), and my interests range from the needle arts, to spirituality, to personal development, to quantum physics. And technology. And new discoveries in science. And reading. Oh, this list could go on and on. Not enough hours in the day, nor enough lifetime left for all my interests and projects.

I am opinionated, loud and wild. I sing off key, and drive too fast to worry about cholesterol. I believe every day is a gift and each morning I can't wait to rip off the wrapping and see what I got.

I am currently caregiver to my almost-ex who was in a motorcycle accident the beginning of May, and has suffered a serious head injury.  He has no other family to take care of him, so looks like I am it.  An opportunity for me to put all that high-minded Buddhism to the test.   He is recovering slowly, the physical abilities coming back faster than the mental.  This is a challenge for both of us.  But I doubt that it will be a 'Regarding Henry'  final outcome. 

 

Activities

Running, weight training, reading in English and Spanish, (slowly in Spanish), trips on my motor scooter, quilting (my passion), surfing the internet. I am the Queen of StumbleUpon.

Favorite Music

Classical, the Baroque Period is my favorite, and 60's rock n roll.

Favorite TV Shows

Although I haven't watched TV in 2 years, I used to like Criminal Minds, all the CSI versions, Dr. House, Law and Order: Criminal Intent, Without a Trace
