I worked for the same insurance company for 31 years.  They went out of business.  I was fortunate enough to find another position with a financial services company that paid very well.  Unfortunately, management changed and I developed a neurological disease.  I couldn't put up with the new management and take care of myself too.  So now I'm in forced retirement.  Don't mind not going to work, but very few friends keep in touch even though I do reach out to them.  Also, already dipping into retirement savings to cover monthly expenses and I'm only 56. 

Fortunately, my husband's work provides health insurance, but this year the co-pays went sky high.

 I try to avoid the pity party that many of us disabled fall into, but sometimes it's unavoidable.

Activities

Collecting insurance company memorabilia such as firemarks. Playing computer games. Love playing board games if I have someone to play them with. Playing slots in the casinos.
