Places I've been

I have been to most of the western US states just traveling through. My favorite stop was a Wyoming sunrise just looking out over the forest as far as my eye could see. The best place on earth is Hawaii, sun, sand, water and good food! And if not in Hawaii, I would like to someday retire and live in New Mexico, that has beautiful areas around Santa Fe and Taos. I have also been to Holland on a stop-over (would like to go for a longer time) on my way to Israel. That was an awesome experience!

Apparently  I have been a member for a long time and didn't remember! Ahh, the surprises of aging well!

About me... I have a natural curiosity for learning  new things (remembering is a different subject altogether!) I love to learn about different people, art, music and the world in general. I was "laid-off" after 30 years of working for the same employer. And that was a good thing... for awhile until unemployment ran out! I did enjoy getting back to my photography and painting after a 20 year drought. . . and, well, after a year of blissful unemployment, I got a job, It is quite boring, and brings in a meager paycheck. But I am so thankful that I at least have a paycheck to bring home these days.

 Besides my church activities, I sometimes go to the very cheap matinees at my local theater and am catching up on new movies, books, places and people.

My life is filled with nephews, grand-nephew, nieces and friend's kids and friends, and I always look forward to making new friends.
