Born weeks overdue on a cold rain-washed night that just happened to coincide with the birthday of a young man who'd grow to be the Rock-n-Roll legend of legends, I've always been a non-conformist.

Though I'm an accountant by skill, I've also written articles for local publication and once-upon-a-time earned a scholarship to Minneapolis College of Art and Design.

Ummm - family: One adopted sister from when we lived in Germany. Twenty-two years as a single parent of four (2 boys, 2 girls) who all have partners and have presented me with 6 grandchildren so far. Also have triplet grandnieces.

Big on Family . . . Honor . . . Honesty.

Favorite Music

As Billy Joel once sang, "It's still rock-'n-roll to me!" However, music - just like my life and home - is pretty eclectic. Grew up with Dad pounding out jazz and ragtime on the upright. Thrived on "soul music" when it was fresh and new (1960s). Believe the 1980s was the last decade of creative sound mixes. Even got a "kick" out of many lyrics from country music (late 1970s, early 1980s). One of these days plan to pay some serious attention to jazz and blues.

Favorite TV Shows

Easier to list LEAST favorite: sitcoms, reality, game shows, and trash like that surburban housewife show. Instead, watch History, A&E, Biography channels, mysteries, crime - yeah that's about it.
