I discovered Harold Bell Wright's name in Pierce City, Missouri in 1998. The sign said "Harold Bell Wright Library and Museum." I have a BA in English from the University of California but had not heard of HBW.

When I read "Least of These My Brothers" ("That Printer of Udell's" edited into modern, everyday English) I fell in love with HBW. I was happy to learn that people faced the same issues and questions a century ago that my friends and I discuss all the time about church, theology, morals, etc.
