English, Danish, Dutch, Norwegian and Irish ancestry, and who knows what else. Have American Indian ancestor from 1700's New England. Variety is the spice of life! Born in Chicago, IL. Grew up in Pensacola, Fl. As an adult, I've lived in Springfield and Stafford, Va., Patuxent, Md., San Diego, Ca., Dallas, Tx., Meridian, Ms. and Denver, Co. As an adult, visited St. Thomas, Acapulco, Bahamas, Vancouver, San Fran, Breckenridge, Sedona, New Orleans, Sanibel, towns in New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine, to name a few. Hope to venture across the ‘pond’ to Denmark, Ireland, England, Holland and Norway etc. before it's all over. Moved to Plymouth, Mass. in 2004. This is it - I'm home.

"Life isn't about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in the rain.
Found this site while searching for 'brain games' in an attempt to stave off the inevitable.
Married for 36 yrs., have 3 grown children; a son who is single and just moved to Plymouth from Hawaii , a married daughter in Boston who had our first grandchild in June 2008, and a married daughter in Washington, D. C.
Love designing/creating just about anything, and am an avid gardener. Loved being home to raise our children (most of the time) so being creative helped to keep me sane and busy.
Love walking the trailed forest and lake behind our home. With Cape Cod Bay less than a mile away, walks on the beach to find shells & sea glass or just gazing out at the great expanse of ocean are favorite pastimes. Enjoy biking, kayaking, snowshoeing, etc.
Love walking and biking the wonderful towns and scenic areas of New England.
Except for an 8-year stint as a realtor in Va., I've been a stay-at-home mom. As most parents eventually are, I've been 'down-sized' out of that job.
Husband flew jets in the Navy for 20 yrs (was at Top Gun at Miramar), so we've lived in many places. He flew for American Airlines for about 17 yrs., retiring in '07. That retirement lasted about two seconds, so now he is in his third career in aviation. Haven't experienced a 'stay-at-home' husband yet.
The nest is empty now. Ours have all found their wings and taken flight. For the most part, we enjoy the peace and quiet, but that period of mourning took me by surprise.
Our first grandchild arrived June 2008. I am no longer trying to get over the idea that I am old enough to be a grandmother. Somehow it just seems natural now.
Life never ceases to amaze.
