- More about me
-
I am a single, Canadian woman living in Victoria, the capital city of British Columbia, Canada. I was born in Victoria, the youngest of 3 children in a not-so-happy family.
- Activities
-
I like to read, watch movies, knit. In the Spring and Summer I enjoy working in my small patch of garden. I also go to our local recreation center where I work-out with weights and use the treadmill. Last year I stopped driving, and it has proven to put a crimp in my traveling. I now take the bus, which I do enjoy, but it takes longer for me to get anywhere. It's a good thing my life isn't lived on a schedule any longer, because of work, so my time is free. I usually don't care how long it takes me to get to my destination, unless I have an appointment to keep. I can sit back, relax, and enjoy the view, and let someone else worry about potential accidents. If I had the money, I'd travel the world. It is what I want to do the most right now.

- Favorite Music
-
I love music. It is one of the most delightful things in this world that we can enjoy with so little effort. I think "Dark Side of the Moon" by Pink Floyd is a classic that stands the test of time. The Beatles the "White Album" is another. I recently downloaded, from the ITune Store, some old music from Neil Young and Crosby, Stills and Nash.
- Favorite TV Shows
-
I have satellite television, as a result, most of what I watch is on the National Geographic channel, the Animal Planet channel or the Discovery Civilization channel. I learn a great deal from them, everything else now bores me. However, I do like Bones, Lie to Me and Supernatural. My tastes extend to whatever is historical, supernatural, mysterious, educational or informative.Otherwise, I usually read for entertainment or watch a movie on television.
- Favorite Movies
-
The movies I enjoy are all in the horror, science fiction, fantasy genre. If you looked at my DVD collection you'd see the Gingersnaps DVD's, the X-Files series, the Blade films, 28 Days and 28 Weeks Later, the Lord of the Rings series, the Underworld movies, and, of course, the Harry Potter series. I think that's enough to give you some idea of where my film interests lie. I seriously dislike chic-flix's and romantic comedies. (;I'd rather watch grass grow than sit through those;}
- Favorite Books
-
During my leisure hours, you'll probably catch me with my nose buried in a book. My interest in the destiny of the soul after death, has lead me to do some casual reading in supernatural fiction for about the last six months (9/10.) My favorite authors are Anne Rice, Kelley Armstrong, Charlaine Harris and P.C. Cast. I feel a certain loyalty to Kelley Armstrong, because she's Canadian, and I am also.
- Favorite Quotes
-
"What comes around, goes around." I believe in that totally, because I believe in Karma, and I think that our bad deeds come back to haunt us later on in life, just as the good. I believe in treating everyone well, we're all humans trying to get through this life as best we can. Life is in balance, everything has an opposite and equal.
- Favorite People
-
John Bradshaw & Wayne Dyer are two people that had a profound effect on my life. There were others, as I read psychology trying to understand myself, my children, and other people. I learn things from everything I read. A book may be written for fiction, but I always find something to learn in them (even if the author didn't intend it.)
- Favorite Places
- Favorite Animals
-
Of the domestic animals, I'd have to say it would be dogs. They are "love on legs". They are never in a bad mood. They love you even if you look bad, feel bad, or in a bad mood. My favorite breeds are the Yellow Labs and Golden Retrievers. They are tremendously good natured, and are excellent with children and small animals. In the wild, I like wolves. They possess courage, loyalty, strength, and intelligence. However, due to man's interference, in some areas they are an endangered species. Elephants are certainly one of my very favorites. They are very intelligent, they live in families, they're loyal, they express love and a sense of joy. They also understand the concept of death. They need to be protected from humans, who've hunted them to the edge of extinction.
