not much to say really.  i recently married the first time and moved way far away from home. i have no kids of my own but love my nieces and nephews as much as if they were my own and miss them all oh so very much. right now i am the city clerk of a teeny tiny town in iowa and wow i never realized what it takes to run a city; i think the smaller the town, the harder it is.  i tend to look at life kind of cynically at times and have a tendency to be very sarcastic, but don't get me wrong, i'm not hard to the core. underneath that rugged exterior is probably the most vulnerable soft mushy insecure person you'll ever meet...lol...i love to laugh, sing and dance (yes, dance), pretty selective about what i'll read and don't have much time for it anyway, but i suppose its because i don't make the time i guess.  i do love a good book that sucks you right in, you know, the kind that keeps you thinking about it all day? i love to cook but hardly ever bake.  i love natural, fresh, healthy foods even though i have a tendency not to eat as well as i should.  i do, however, know what i SHOULD be eating, lol.  i could probably live very easily as a vegan but give me my sugar dammit. and bread. i think i have a real addiction to bread. and macaroni, yes i am old school and hate the word PASTA...i eat macaroni!!! and for god sake, don't call it noodles, ok????  i like sports, love animals but hate the fact that we've domesticated them so, i love them wild and free as god meant them to be, i love the outdoors, nature in all its glory and hardly ever go to bed without looking for the moon.  i love weather.  rainy, snowy, windy.  i have a real affliction for the sea and salty air and think i was meant to live on a houseboat (so why am i here in the middle of corn country??????) i love the sea and all its unending vastness.  me and the ocean have had some really deep conversations. 

Activities

Photography, NASCAR, cooking, pogo, chatting, interior design, drivin around lookin at the scenery and at night, the moon and stars.

Favorite Music

I love any music I can sing along with and might be awfully annoying on a long drive because I would probably sing along with every song playing! I also love music with lots of percussion like African music or reggae, Phil Collins, etc.

Favorite TV Shows

Men In Trees, I Love Lucy, Amazing Race, Survivor, Judge Judy (my moral idol), Hazel (I know, I'm aging myself), Discovery, Food Network, AMC, Turner Classics, not a big regular TV watcher

Favorite Movies

I love every Mel Brooks movie, love westerns, those that give you a lump in your throat or split your sides laughing...can't stand obnoxious comedy though, love really spicy movies too (hehe) and of course the classics AMC or TCM. I wish I was around when Cary Grant was alive...woooo hoo! Any with Anthony Hopkins, too!
