Places I've been

Southern New England as a child, every state and fort on the east coast of US.,certainly all the many faces of the state of Florida, across the southern states to California and many locations in that state. Have seen Nevada,Utah, Oregon and Washington. Up into B.C. and Alberta in Canada - back thru Idaho. Montana, Wyoming,South Dakota, Nebraska.Colorado,Missouri.Kansas.Illinois,Indiana,Kentucky, Arkansas. Ohio,Michigan, Pennsylvania. Naples, Foggia, Bari, Roma and Capri in Italy,while in the military. I attended the Academy of Arts in Newark,NJ studied at Pratt Institute, The Art School,where I majored in Industrial Design, Worked in Display design, furniture design, reconstruction design, architectural rendering and drawing. Engineering drawing and design. I was in civil service as a Medical Illustrator for the Department of Veteran Affairs. I was a model maker for a subcontractor to NASA. And now I'm trying to find what it's like to be a farmer and an athlete.

More about me

This is the eighty-fifth year of my life to be concluded April 29th.  Wanted to use the choices of font, the size and color on the top of the space but I'm happy to get the print down.  A small town boy from New Jersey gets to see the country and part of the rest of the world because there was a war on. Afterward, the acquisition of an art and design education opened doors to opportunities only dreamed of beforehand.  Part and parcel of everything has been the  stamp of Federality in civil and military life. The majority of working life came through federal medical facility as a medical art practitioner. More than a quarter century of that kind of activity and I was ready for the rural residency I now enjoy in retirement.

Activities

I am a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church and 53 years of choral singing. I am interested in many sciences including, archaeology, anthropology, geology, astronomy. I study history in many forms and recommend the History Channel on TV. I have studied machine operation and basic welding techniques. I have served on petit Juries both civil and criminal and was a sitting member of a Federal Grand Jury. I've acquired ability in photo exposure and darkroom work. Since retirement I have begun training and competition in throwing events of track and field, acheiving medal status in Florida State Championships. The best is yet to come.

I support the work of Jews for Jesus, the Florida Trail, Defenders of Wildlife, Defenders of the Environment, The Florida Bicycle Association and the Society for Creative Anachronism

My favorite music is pretty much in the past but it was Classical and March, having lost the greater portion of my aural sensitivity to age.

Most shows with titles added like Miami CSI.

Movies on the big screen are either too loud for what I can hear or impossible for me to follow.

Right now It's the people I bowl with.

Favorite Places

As with so many others, they no longer exist as the quietness and tranquility are gone forever. For instance take Yosemite National Park in CA.

I'm a cat person and at present our family are three. I have nothing against dogs but as a constant companion it's feline.
