More about me: Oh, I was hoping this would be a questionnaire! But no, I have to actually give this some thought and tell you whatever I want to.

I'm 56, nearly 57. I want to be slender.....but seem to lack the dedication or determination to get there. Still looking for that magic solution. I could just describe myself as "undertall" since I'm only 5'3".

I collect short novels about the CampFire Girls. A lot of these were written in the early 1900's (1907-1922) and then some more about 1930 or so.

I have studied Spanish since 9th grade and am busy getting certified as an interpreter. I've finished all the class work and have my AAS (Applied Associates of Science) degree. I'm getting work as an interpreter and with some more practice will be ready to start the certification process.

As I child I hungered for a relationship with the Lord and am continuing to learn, grow, worship and serve. I see lack of service as one of the problems in Christianity today. (Including my not doing enough for others.)

I love to read -- mostly science fiction/fantasy or historical novels. Elizabeth Peters and Anne McCaffrey are two of my favorite authors.

Well, surely that's enough about me to start with.

Favorite Movies: It's a Wonderful Life, Sound of Music, The Wizard of Oz, Star Wars, (the first one that came out), Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Green Mile, just about anything with Mel Gibson, Lagaan, The Mission. Well, the list is getting too long.
Favorite Books: The Hobbit, Lord of the Rings, Mercedes Lackey's earlier novels, Terry Pratchett's Discworld series, Anne McCaffrey's books.
Favorite Quotes: It will not do to leave a live dragon out of your plans if you live near one. J. R. R. Tolkien, The Hobbit.
Favorite People: Mother Theresa
Favorite Places: San Pedro de Atacama, Chile
Favorite Animals: Horses, cats, just about all.
