I have 2 grown children. Daughter is to be married in May and is a physical therapist. Son is into emergency rescue, both for work and as his hobby. I couldnt be more proud of either of them.

I was in the medical field as well, as an nurse, till I was sidelined with a hearing loss due to a few unfortunate medical errors. I now hear via the cochlear implant. Its given me back my life.

For now, I try to keep as active as possible. Finding the empty nest hard to cope with, Molly the dog  helps fill the gaps because she requires quite a bit of exercise.

 Its been quite a journey back to hearing again, and finding and hearing music I'd missed out on.  I know some may laugh,but it took my kids love of Garth Brooks to propel me to seek the implant.  I wanted to hear what they were hearing and why they wanted all his CD's. 

Music, my childrens voices, birds singing, wind chimes.... these are the sounds I enjoy now, along with ALL sounds of daily life.

This is just a tiny 30 sec. snapshot of who I am. I hope to meet many nice people in Eons land and get to know their stories. I'll try to participate as much as time allows.
