More about me

I was born in Chicago, and our family moved to Mukwonago, WI when I was 3 years old. Small town country life was incredible! The town population was 217 at that time, and I attended a one room country school in the neighboring town of East Troy.

Even if I could have had a say in it, I wouldn't trade those wonderful experiences for the world. We were always outdoors, knew all the neighbors, and formed many friendships which I still value all these years later!

Our family later moved to Chicago and its suburbs, where I went to Niles Township High School and Lake Forest College. We then moved to Florida after having spent many years there as snow birds.

It was in Florida that I started out my career in retail, at first part time, as our family would travel back and forth seasonally to Chicago in order to spend the summers at their Riverview Park in Chicago photo gallery. I can still remember the strange looks I'd get from college acquaintances when I told them I worked in an amusement park.

From my part time job at Maas Bros., a Clearwater department store, I eventually became a department manager, and then started a new career as a secretary for Rutenburg Homes in their interiors department. It was there, through a co-worker, that I went on the first blind date with my future husband.

I am married (38 happy years and still counting), live in Indian Rocks Beach, FL, have a terrific daughter and son in law, love to travel, read, listen to music, sing(?) karaoke, and spend time with family and friends.

I work seasonally for H&R Block as a tax preparer, and find that to be the best of all worlds- plenty of PLAY time!
