- More about me
-
I'm a retired English teacher who hasn't stopped since she "graduated" from the profession! Retirement is sometimes just exhausting, don't you think? Whew!
You know how when 1984 arrived, it made you feel kind of old? Well, I'm 66, twp years beyond "When I'm 64" so, every now and then, I feel a twinge, a realization that they weren't kidding when they said this was not a rehearsal we were dealing with here. (Talk about cliches - but if it fits, wear it, I guess.) I've recently come to the monumental decision that I should find and fall in love with just one more wonderful hunk of man before I reach The End. And I've been trying, with somewhat disastrous results. I spent 23 plus years living alone and liking it, so it's possible that either, as my friend says, my partner picker is broken, or I really don't have a clue about how to get Mine. I remain commited, however, knowing that somewhere out there is my Lover to Be. He'll have this amazing sense of humor: You know, the kind that makes you laugh like a horse snorting loud comments. And he'll be intelligent, of course (the man, not the horse), but he'll never let me know how much more intelligent he is than this Eggheaded twit. He will have a great ass, too; I like great asses. He'll love big, gutsy women, and he'll long to sing with me in the shower. What do you think? Will I find my One True Love in this life?
I have a wonderful daughter, a beautiful and talented musician, who does not particularly share my enthusiasm for finding a fellow water sprite for me. She has to bite her tongue a lot lately, especially when she's tempted to say "Mom! Go to your room!" too often. I do try her patience. Poor child. It's very hard to keep still when you see someone attempting a tightrope walk in the rain, cane in hand.
You were simply dahling to read this long. Enough of this schmoozing. I'm on to the next victim. Later!
