More about me

I guess it's about time to update this. I am very average and ordinary. A little conservative but also a little liberal in my thinking. I do try to keep an open mind about most things. I have never considered mysefl "normal" by any stretch of the imagination and like to deal with life and it's trials with a sense of humor. I definitely don't like to take myself too seriously.

I had one sister who was taken from us way too early when she was hit in the head by an errant baseball at the age of 11 so I have lived most of my life as an only child. That one event has effected my life more than I can ever say! My big sister taught me more in thos first seven years of my life than almost anyone else! I was only a child when she went to heaven, but I still miss her every day of my life.  Since then, bothof my parents have gone to join her in heaven and I really miss that part of my family.

However.....I have been married to a very nice man since 1970. He was my first and only love besides my parents. We have two adult sons, Matt and Mike who we are very proud of. They have grown up to be wonderful young men. Both have faced adversities and have come out stronger for their trials and are doing quite well.

We recently adopted a stray cat and now we are her loyal subjects. After years of being dog owners, this is a new experience for both of us. "Tibbie" thinks we are her pets!

Another recent development in our lives came when I underwent a gastric bypass in January of 2008. I have lost over 100 pounds and am still on my way down. In my case, smaller is definitely better!

All in all, life is good and the more people I meet on Eons, the better I like it!!
