I am Vicki from a small town in Texas.

I am Manager of Dementia in Real Time.  Check out the site!  My mother in law is suffering from dementia and we try to see the light side of a dark disease.  As they say, you have to laugh to keep from crying!

I am trying to retire but my daughter became President of our company so do we ever get to retire? (ha) 

I was the IIAT ACSR of the year for the state of Texas as well as serving and chairing on Agent committees for IIAT and Allstate. 

I was Business Woman of the Year for the NRC.  

I have been happily married for 39 years and am married to the "perfect" man :>

We have two children and three grandchildren.  

I live a wonderfully full life and chat when I can. 

My passion is writing.

I coauthored with S. Swindell, Memories in Blue and White, History of Celeste, Texas Schools, Celeste Texas, 1 of 37 books considered by the Texas Historical Commission for the T. R. Fehrenback Book Award.

  have written articles for Christian Reader Magazine and insurance trade journals.  I write a newspaper column for The Celeste Tribune, and have written for the Celeste Star, The Leonard Graphic, The Wolfe City Mirror, and The Greenville Herald Banner. 

 

 

 

 

 

  

 

Activities

If you haven't noticed, my favorite passion is writing. I see the written word in every vision the eye beholds.

Favorite Charities

My church gets most of my attention but cancer research is much needed as I have lost many family members to this harsh reality. I walked the "Jingle Bell Run", noticed I WALKED it, for my sister and niece who have arthritis. I then found out I have arthritis in my back so that will become an annual event.

Any news program no matter what side of the aisle they are on. I like to get others take on issues.

Favorite Books

The Bible "Digging Up Graves" The book I have completed and am editing. "Memories in Blue and White" I love any and all books. My husband says my attic room is going to fall on us one day if I bring another book in the house.
