More about me

I've always been a bit unconventional.  Too bookish by far, prefered to stay up all night and sleep the sunshine away, and would rather work on machinery than play with dolls.  There should be no wondering how I wound up in skilled trades, and on the midnight shift to boot.

I manage to be independent beyond all need to be, willing to try most things once if it doesn't mean jumping from anything, and able to listen to reason most of the time. 

My family is the most important thing in my life.  Yeah, my family is a whole lot larger than just people that share my DNA. 

 A grandson recently asked what I was doing with the rest of my life.  After loads of partial responses I realized.......

I'm building an ark that isn't meant to float away.

If it's on Science Channel or something similar I've probably seen an episode. Otherwise, the television is for screening my movie collection.

Favorite Movies

There's only about 600 in the house, I'd hate to pick one and make another feel bad. Most recently viewed was "Something's Got to Give." Would love to get my hands on a copy of the following..... Let's all scare Jessica to death Butterflies are free Me, Natalie

Favorite Books

anything by McCaffrey, the Gears, either Kellerman, Aul. Again, I'm copping out and I know it. Don't expect me to pick one of the thousands I enjoyed enough to put on the shelf for re-reading. What do you think I do with all that time I spend not watching cable television? Science Fiction, Fantasy, Mystery, Historical especially Native American and the Celtic kings.

Family and face friends going back thirty year or more. Kathy, Terry, GeeGee, Jeff, Lenny, Tammy, Tony, Chuck, Clyde, Harley, Jessica, Shag, Joe, Jon, Jodi, Lisa, Betty, Brian, etc.......... Yeah, and some online characters too.

Favorite Places

The bar where I have coffee with friends a couple times a week. The restaurant where my son has been cook for these past twenty years. The farm. Oh yeah, definitely the farm.

Favorite Animals

My cat Tails. I have been developing an unnatural (for me) fondness for the dogs of family and friends. Big Red Dog, Abby, and Bear may all wind up with ham bones in their holiday treat box.
