Married 25 years this time; 2 daughters, 6 grandkids, raising one of them.

Retired business owner and professional.

Various interests from politics, spiritualism, medical, world current events, history, architecture,reading and open to most anything as a learning experience.

I get the MOST satisfaction when I help others to help themselves.  Everyone needs a BOOST, a chance at help to bring them back up from where they have fallen.

An avid reader of everything - fiction, nonfiction.  Enjoy most kinds of music and just close my ears if something is really, really offensive to me.

I am a fiber artist on the side so I always have my hands in yarns, wool, silks, and threads, beads,etc.

I just lost my spring and summer in 2007 and have a new wake up call about life - it didn't change me much, just made me see that we all have to help each other MORE.  You never know who will be the person that will affect your life the most - your best friend, your spouse,  or someone who's name you don't know but you think is a friend of a clerk's brother's wife from the local grocery store - or something like that.  People work in different ways to get things done in this world.  If more would work to solve things instead of greed, scams, power and control - think of it.  Maybe women should run the world - we think different!!

I want to meet new people, travel and do new things with what ever time I have left - and I don't know how much that is.  Making the best use of it should be on my calendar.  So I welcome any people wanting to contact me

I reread this and thought this really doesn't  explain me, but is a thumbprint of some of my interests.

I only have a few REAL true friends but some have been for 35-40 years. I am loyal, protective and supportive.

  I am easy to meet, but complex with as many facets to my character as a diamond.  I can be a bitch or the best person you could ever know.  I can be dominate or give advice unasked for ( partly due to previous career). I like to be in control, but can melt and submit in a minute.

I love laughter, and comfort when I see tears.  I am angered by prejudice, injustice and unfairness or lies. I fight for the truth what ever it might be.  I share what I have with those who have less, just because its the right thing to do.

This is just a start of who I am - I could never be covered in a profile completely.

You can't really know me unless you become a friend and try!

Activities

Avid reader. Needlepoint and other fiberarts. Advising others(Big mouth) -sometimes when they didn't ask. Antiques collector/seller Decorating, traveling.

Lupus. Winterthur, Hagley, Hyperemesis ( HG) and just giving directly to ppl who need the help NOW!

I listen to everything, but love classical, jazz. Celtic, and the rest just follow along

The Jesus Papers, Life in the Emerald City, John SAndfords, J. Kellerman, Robt. Tannenbaum, Laura Lippman, J.L. Burkes, Eliz Lowell, and many other authors books plus biographies, and non-fiction that is dealing with current events also history. I'm an avid reader and have built up a pretty good library!
