More about me

I was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania the second oldest of eight children. My parents did a wonderful job raising us all to be individuals.

From an early age I wanted to be a teacher starting at age 12 teaching swimming lessons. I attended West Chester State College and majored in elementary and special education.

I married my wonderful husband in 1969, we have two children. We moved to Maine in 1978 and have lived there ever since. We have done many things - always a little before our time. We ran a small bakery for many years, made goat cheese, ran a printing press (in the house). I returned to teaching and taught Special Education for another 19 years . I retired in June 2007. Since retiring I have enjoyed painting and traveling.
